Financial Relationship Director
Big Society Capital is a social investment organisation established with capital from dormant bank accounts and the main UK high street banks. Our ambition is to build the social investment market in the UK by improving access to finance for social sector organisations and by raising investor awareness of investment opportunities that provide a social as well as a financial return.
As a Financial Relationship Director you will work alongside and support the Head of Marketing in increasing the understanding and activity of financial organisations, including mainstream banks, asset managers, family offices and financial advisors, in the social investment market. This relates largely to Big Society Capital’s role as market champion.
You will be a self-starter, responsible for building relationships and maintaining two-way information flow and dialogue with financial institutions.
You will spot new opportunities to introduce social investment to financial organisations, build a network of engaged institutions, share research and best practice and manage the ongoing relationships with financial partners.
Key Responsibilities:
- Build relationships with key individuals in financial institutions
- Represent BSC at financial sector and social investment forums
- Understand institutions’ core business and identify opportunities to align their interests and goals with those of the social investment sector
- Work with financial institutions to overcome barriers to their increased engagement with social investment
Required:
- 5 yrs + managing relationships for financial institutions
- Knowledge and experience of banking/financial Services
- Excellent client relationship and business development skills.
- Experience of presenting to a financial audience
- Experience of social or responsible investment would be an advantage
