Financial Reporting

Participate in the month-end close for the Americas Equity businesses. Duties will include posting of general ledger entries, validation and control of sub ledger flows, as well as preparation and submission of the non-FtB trial balances (entities 5006, 839, 8429, 6476, 7280, 815)

Prepare and validate monthly, quarterly and annual IFRS and US GAAP complex financial disclosures pertaining to Americas Equities businesses; expand transparency and control around the disclosure process. Some of the applicable disclosures include:

Form 214 – Rollforward of Financial assets of AFS at fair value for Cash Flow

Form 2971 - Fair Value of Financial Instruments

Form C376 – Rollforward of Level 3 Financial Instruments

Form 2975 (c355) - Financial instruments that are measured at amortized cost

Form 223 - Movement Schedule of Intangible Assets

Form 260 – Securities Loaned/Securities sold under repurchase agreement

Form 2791 – Liquidity risk disclosure per IFRS 7

Form 252-254 – Interest bearing deposits non-banks

Form 2682 – 2683 - Inventory of operational-risk-related provisions

Organize and submit the FAS157 disclosures on a quarterly basis. In addition the candidate will be joining the FAS157 working group focusing on improving the current disclosure process (entities 558, 839, 5006, 6647, 7280, 8429)

Manage relationship with onshore and offshore CRES and Risk teams and obtain a working knowledge of Americas equities inventory

Take over the monthly intercompany derivatives reconciliation process (3D Match). Work with internal stakeholders across the globe to research and clear inter/intra company derivative breaks

The candidate will be able to assist with research and clearance of month-end issues as necessary

Control and validation of the IFRS gross-up entries regarding pending settlements

Responding to Ad hoc reporting requests from the onshore teams, internal partners and management

Desired Experience:

Bachelor’s degree (Accounting or Finance preferred)

Financial control experience, ideally around equities products

Proficient in the core Microsoft Office suite of applications

Excellent communication skills

Desired Qualities:

A control focused individual with excellent attention to detail

Willingness to learn new products, processes, and skills
