Financial Reporting Controller
The team is responsible for preparing the Company’s interim and year end financial statements, quarterly consolidation packages and monthly management accounts.
The key elements of the role:
•Assist in the preparation of quarterly head office consolidation packages including US GAAP, Japanese GAAP, Inter-company transactions and other ad-hoc enquiries;
•Assist in the preparation of the PL and Balance Sheet monthly and quarterly analysis to support Head office reports, departmental controls and management reporting;
•Provide support and analysis for the Interim and Year end financial statements and year end audit;
•Management and development of junior members of the financial reporting team;
•Ad-hoc reporting and projects, including automation of financial reporting.
The Company has made substantial investment in its financial reporting infrastructure – the challenge for this role is to actively participate in the re-engineering of the entire reporting process to take maximum advantage of this development and to deliver significant process improvements. Accuracy within tight deadlines is a major priority, and so there is a need to drive forward automation with increased control in all areas of reporting.
The candidate will be:
•ACA/ACCA or equivalent qualified with experience working in a similar role.
•Have excellent Financial Reporting knowledge within Financial Services (IFRS/GAAP)
•Have a proactive approach with the ability to manage large workloads and conflicting deadlines.
•Have excellent communication skills both written and verbal.
•Will have a logical approach with an excellent attention to detail
