Financial Reporting Manager
My client is one of the UK’s leading science facilities and research centres. Its expertise and original research have underpinned quality of life, innovation and competitiveness for UK citizens and business for more than a century.
They currently have a rare opportunity (staff turnover is so low as no-one leaves!) for a qualified accountant to join their finance team in a supervisory capacity;
You will be responsible for managing 2 people and as a team will be responsible for:
* Management accounts, statutory reporting and transfer to IFRS
* Preparing the monthly management accounts for functional areas. Actively monitor and report on progress through the year and work with management to ensure cost budgets are achieved
* Managing the production of annual planning and quarterly forecasts for functional areas, ensuring they are consistent with company strategic plans
* Proactively identify and perform other ad hoc finance activities as requested
The successful candidate will be ACA qualified with a minimum of 2 years experience post qualification.
