Financial Reporting Manager (m/f)

Located in Luxembourg – Betzdorf

Located at the group’s corporate headquarters in Luxembourg, the position of Financial Reporting Manager is a key element in the financial management of the group, with close contact to corporate executives and finance managers across the organisation.

Responsibilities:

• Manage the monthly consolidation and reporting process and ensuring the quality of the closings through reconciliations and checklists;
• Produce insightful commentary and analysis on the group’s results for reporting to the Board Executives
• Provide expert technical advice to colleagues on financial reporting matters, with a particular focus on IFRS;
• Dealing with the external auditors and supporting the generation of the quarterly public reporting;
• Taking part in, and sometimes leading, multi-disciplinary project groups (e.g. on corporate finance, merger acquisition activity …);
• Making proposals, and implement where appropriate, developments to accounting and/or reporting processes and systems;
• To assess, and professionally develop, the group’s financial reporting team (for example through training and development).

Experience / Qualifications:

• Fully qualified accountant, preferably with a Big 4 background, with demonstrable experience in a similar role and a convincing technical basis in International Financial Reporting Standards;
• Experience in running – or auditing - international multi-currency full legal consolidations is a pre-requisite;
• Up-to-date understanding of IFRS, including future trends;
• Minimum 2-5 years experience in a similar role;
• Effective project management, ensuring that timetables are understood, expectations are clear, execution is smooth;
• Ability to multi-task and keep various projects moving concurrently;
• Strong communication and relationship-building;
• Sense of humour and understanding of people;
• Ability to manage own time, and those of others and effectively deal with challenging deadlines;
• Fluency in English, both oral and written;
• Sound knowledge of an ERP system (SAP preferred) as well as Excel.
