Financial Reporting Senior AVP recruitment

Key reporting responsibilities
External statutory guidance and review to support the reporting process for results announcements and annual reports
Enrichment of underlying trade level data to support FSA Stress testing analysis and balance sheet management initiatives
Support new IFRS and FSA reporting requirements by providing support and guidance.
Supporting external Group PLC statutory IFRS quarterly reporting for CIB
Obtaining an understanding of the CIB business areas for PL and Balance sheet reporting through production of guidance and review of submissions
Assessing new financial reporting requirements under IFRS
Prepare guidance, liaise, review and challenge analytical review submissions from sites at reporting periods to understand key movements in those account lines.
Review and challenge additional submissions required on those lines in order to ensure material accuracy and to present in the final reporting pack
Liaison with auditors to allow audit of the year end figures.
Producing and enhancing the monthly MI pack which is presented to senior management
Standardising and documenting all key processes
University degree or equivalent
PQE
Qualified accountant with an understanding of a relevant functional area such as financial reporting or technical accounting in an investment bank
Keen analytical skills.
The initiative and curiosity to challenge current processes and develop effective alternative solutions
A high level of commitment and enthusiasm
Proven interpersonal, influencing and team working skills and the ability to communicate at multiple levels
Ability to work in a pressured environment and cope with the demand of working to tight deadlines
