Job purpose:
Responsible for the preparation of monthly actual consolidated figures and Targets/Latest Estimates for the Sandoz division by monitoring the Sandoz Division financial reporting and data analyser tools, namely:
• In a primary role: the Financial Consolidation Reporting System (FCRS) and the SMART data analyser (based on SAP BI);
• In a back-up role: the Sandoz Product Margin Reporting System (SPMR).

Point of contact of the Sandoz Division Business Planning Analysis (BPA) team and the Local / Regional CFOs for providing access to and/or effectively supporting them in the analysis of any Sandoz Division financial data.

Major accountabilities:

Primary role: responsible for operating the FCRS tools and processes for Actuals, Targets/ Latest Estimates:
- Prepare monthly consolidated actual results and consolidated Target / Latest Estimates;
Monitor all FCRS related processes, e.g. parameterization, inter-company reconciliation, technical data checks, divisional consolidation entries, SOX 302
- Prepare monthly FCRS timeliness of reporting and data quality Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for quarterly communication of results to the Sandoz sites and Sandoz management;
- Support to Sandoz entities for all FCRS related reporting and technical issues, i.e. ensure fast and accurate responses are provided to all local FCRS related queries and issues;
- Secure FCRS technical set up for the Division coordinating with the appropriate IT Finance supports and Group FRA / Group IT;
- Implement FCRS related system upgrades as and when required;

Back-up role: supports the FRS Analyst who is primarily responsible for operating the SPMR tools and processes for Actuals, Targets / Latest Estimates on an ad hoc basis:
- Analysis and remediation of “broken links” in the Supply Chain in collaboration with Tech Ops;
- Monitoring of SPMR data collection and data quality checks, including the preparation of the SPMR timeliness of reporting and data quality KPIs for communication to the Sandoz sites after each SPMR submission and effective remediation of issues in the next submission;
- Ensure fast and effective support is provided to the local SPMR responsible team for remediation of any SPMR related query / issues.

Administer the SMART data analyser tool (based on SAP BI), i.e. maintenance, technical user training and on-going user support.
Prepare the Sandoz Division weekly sales flash (once a month).
Point of contact of the Sandoz Division BPA team and the Local/Regional CFOs for providing access to and/or effectively supporting these users in their analysis of any Sandoz Division financial data.

Education: Financial Accounting and/or IT degree

Languages: English – fluent; German – an asset;Another European language – a plus.

Experience:
- Practical experience with consolidation and financial reporting tools like FCRS or SPMR from a system user perspective – an asset;
- SAP knowledge – an asset;
- At least 1 or 2 year’s experience as Financial Reporting Analyst in an international group – a plus;
- Knowledge of International Financial Reporting Standards – a plus;
- International experience and ability to work in an international environment, i.e. deal with internal customers around the world.

Further qualifications:
- Ability to operate and administer the technical steps of financial reporting systems like FCRS (or SPMR)
- Ability to implement reporting processes timetables in order to fulfil all recurring FCRS (or SPMR) related reporting requirements. Excellent analytical skills as well as high data quality focused approach are required
- Customer focus and excellent interpersonal skills required in order to:
- Efficiently support the local FCRS/SPMR reporting teams across Sandoz;
- Efficiently meet expectations and support all Sandoz Division financial data users,
i.e. CFO, BPA, RCFOs; and
- Work in close collaboration with Sandoz IT for ensuring efficient resolution of system issues.
- Ability to work in an international environment.
