Financial Reporting – VP

-Engagement in the quarterly consolidation process and the preparation of financial statements under IFRS and UK GAAP and distribution as appropriate within the group

-Ensuring accuracy of financial numbers and key performance indicators and liaison with country finance teams across the group to improve reporting.

-Analytical review and understanding of the annual report and preparation of briefing pack

- Assist preparation of papers for ExCo and audit risk committees on the results announcements and developments in financial reporting

-Build and maintain effective control environment around the Group consolidation and financial reporting process

-Establish strong working relationships with finance teams in the group and external auditors to support the resolution of accounting and reporting issues faced by countries.

-Keep abreast of new developments in IFRS, engaging in technical accounting discussions in respect of particular sections of the annual report and understanding and manage the impact on the process with proper guidance to countries

Requirements:

-Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA etc)

-Background in financial reporting

-Strong technical knowledge (IFRS, UK GAAP etc)

-Investment banking experience and product knowledge

-Strong interpersonal and relationship building skills
