I am recruiting on behalf of a FTSE 200 banking/finance organisation who are looking for a Financial Research Assistant to work on a 12 week contract.
Purpose of Role:
To undertake a comprehensive credit review of insurer panel, and produce balanced-view reports for decision making. Provide support to the Credit Department to enable it to provide a timely, high-quality service to external and internal customers.
Key Responsibilities:
· Undertake data research on panel of insurer using Credit Safe/Factiva/Company House and others search engines.
· Undertake financial and non financial analysis on a panel of insurers.
· Produce balanced credit risk reports for decision making.
· Prepare and produce MI reports.
· Liaise with all areas of the business for successful completion of responsibilities.
· Update workload daily on management information.
· Other duties as may be required.
· Maintain compliance with all applicable regulations; this includes ensuring that we are at all times compliant with the FSA principles for Treating Customers Fairly.
Measures of Success:
· Maintain MI list within agreed timescales.
· Meet pre-determined deadlines for the production of reports.
· Provide management information within pre-determined deadlines and quality standards.
· Work attendance in line with company average.
The successful candidate will have proven experience in the reading and assessment of Financial Statements including Balance Sheet, Profit Loss and Cash-Flow, and producing balanced credit risk reports for assessment by senior managers.
They will be well organised with the ability to prioritise, be able to work on their own initiative and remain calm under pressure. They must also be IT literate and have good attention to detail.
