Job Description Financial Sales Manager II Job ID #: 19572 Location: NM-Albuquerque Functional Area: Banking - Sales Employment Type: Full-Time Exempt Education Required: High School Diploma Experience Required: 6 years Days and Hours: Monday - Friday 8:00am - 5:00pm Physical Address: 4701 Lang Avenue NE, Albuquerque, NM Department Name: Albuquerque Position Description The FSM is directly accountable for overall deposit products and services growth of the branch through a combination of outside sales calls and the expansion of the existing deposit client base. Also, the FSM is responsible for performance in the entire branch, including: - Excellence in customer service at all times - Management of controllable expenses (at or under budget) - Operational compliance (Internal Control Reviews) - Supervision (direct and indirect) of typically 4 - 6 associates The FSM has assigned individual goals, and is responsible to ensure branch team goals are achieved or exceeded. Principal Accountabilities : - Actively sell the Bank's deposit consumer and business products and services in a professional manner. Maintain established performance levels, including deposit production, unit sales, and deposit mix. Conduct pre-arranged, well-planned outside sales calls on a daily basis; and follow up as necessary to gain and optimize business relationships. Refer business as appropriate to other bank partners, e.g. Telephone Banking, business, or commercial bankers, wealth management representatives. Market the Bank's services via telephone and correspondence in a professional, sales-oriented manner; and maintain an active prospect list for telemarketing and outside sales calls. - Establish and continue to build a referral source network. Ensure referral sources are well-connected within the community and are effective at providing deposit relationship leads. - Complete and update weekly Bank-wide deposit pipeline report. Complete weekly Performance Plan with Area Executive. Provide updates to last week's sales "Objectives", "Setbacks", and this week's "Results". - Prepare professionally-designed proposals for deposit and related business service products using information provided by business or commercial lending partners, or obtained during sales calls, and the Bank's available tools. Present these in a confident and compelling manner to customers as part of individual or joint calling/sales presentations. Ensure that other team members do the same. - Coach and motivate branch sales staff on the development of new customers and solicitation of business from existing and prospective customers. Conduct weekly coaching sessions with FSR II regarding both inside and outside sales activities. Ensure that the branch achieves team goals. - Represent the Bank in the community, by attending civic and community group meetings, participating or volunteering on civic and community projects, to generate additional business for the Bank; utilize relationships with local civic/volunteer organization(s) to identify potential CRA lending opportunities. - Perform various personnel functions, including interviewing and hiring branch staff, as well as conducting performance reviews and providing coaching and/or disciplinary action when necessary. - Ensure that all branch associates maintain a positive working relationship with all branch partners and back-office support groups. Promote understanding of diversity issues among branch staff; and promote respect for all Associates and customers. Promote teamwork within the branch and the bank as a whole. - Ensure that new clients are profiled via the Bank's profiling tool(s) and appropriate accounts are offered and set up properly. - Ensure that all branch associates keep current on product knowledge, competition and on compliance issues related to deposit and lending products. - Ensure compliance with federal regulations and bank policy for all matters of branch operations. Required to receive a "Low Risk" rating for all Internal Control Reviews. - Ensure that all branch associates provide a superior level of customer service. This means that all inquiries are responded to in a timely and customer-oriented manner. - Prudently manage all expenses within or under budget. - Perform other duties as assigned from time to time. Position Requirements Basic Qualifications: Bachelor Degree with a minimum of 4 years experience in a sales, customer service and/or in a lending capacity, including at least 1 year experience in a lead or supervisory role required. -Or- High School Diploma or GED with a minimum of 6 years experience in a sales, customer service and/or in a lending capacity, including at least 2 year experience in a lead or supervisory role required. Additional Requirements: Knowledge of business deposit account types and cash management type services. Understanding of generic cash management products and services. Individual sales experience in selling cash management products and services. Ability to reach pre-determined deposit products and services goals. Ability to work with little direct supervision.
