WHAT ARE THE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES OF THIS POSITION?
- Responsible for developing and implementing a territory business plan, in conjunction with management and leadership, that is structured to increase mutual fund, variable annuity, health insurance, life insurance and bank production by qualified agents via one-on-one and group settings
- Exhibit thorough knowledge of life and health insurance, mutual funds, annuities and banking products via strong communication and presentation skills
- Accountable for achieving sales targets and coverage objectives within assigned territory
- Provides coordinated support activities to meet production goals with appropriate needs based approach
WHAT KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS ARE NEEDED TO BE SUCCESSFUL IN THIS POSITION?
- Demonstrates a thorough understanding of the financial marketplace, State Farm Insurance products, and a strong knowledge across life and health insurance, mutual funds, variable annuities and banking products
- Prioritize producers within their territory to meet sales goals
- Demonstrates a sales orientation, confidence, motivation, and goal orientation to capitalize on opportunity
- Demonstrates a good understanding of the competition in the market and stays current with industry and competitive changes
- Uses strong communication and presentation skills to explain complex financial products in understandable terms
- Manage territory budget and expenses
ITEMS OF NOTE
- Not responsible for personal production and will not make phone sales independent of the agent
- Must possess and maintain NASD Series 6 and 63 licenses, and a state insurance license, where applicable
- Requires 60-80% travel and ability to operate in virtual environment
- Requires travel by company vehicle or commercial transportation on a regular basis to agents' offices, clients' homes/businesses, and/or other State Farm facilities
- Must maintain a valid license to lawfully operate vehicles as directed/requested by State Farm
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
- Prior experience with direct customer sales in Financial Services. Currently Series 6, 63, and or Series 7 Licensed.
- 75% travel via automobile. Some day travel and some over-night. Company car will be provided.
