Your function
As a (Senior) Consultant in Financial Services Industry, you will be part of a dynamic team that draws together specialist knowledge and Financial Services Industry experience. Our professionals are focusing on actuarial insurance advisory work, regulatory compliance and implementation of new financial sector regulation. This includes topics such as Solvency II, MiFID, UCITS, IFRS and Basel III implementation work, actuarial services, model development and validation, corporate and internal governance, compliance organisation and monitoring, optimization of the risk function and internal audit.
With a strong understanding of the challenges our clients face, you will assist with the development and/or validation of (derivative) pricing and/or risk models (credit risk, market risk, operational risk), and the development and/or review of risk management frameworks/policies.
You will:
- Advise on different aspects of model validation and development;
- Contribute to business development in this domain, both nationally and internationally;
- Be working with senior members of the team to develop, tailor and market our propositions and capabilities in the market;
- Participate in the career and performance development of the Deloitte ERS practice by serving as a career counselor, training new junior consultants and providing timely and specific performance feedback;
- Be trained and coached in order to develop your knowledge and skills, management and business development capabilities.
Your profile
We are looking for talented and motivated individuals who have a track record of delivering results and who possess the ability to deliver engagements and interact with senior stakeholders across a broad range of Financial Services Industry clients.
- You have 2 to 6 years working experience in the Financial Services Industry (Consulting);
- You can demonstrate specific service area/competency and/or industry expertise that results in tangible value for our clients in the Financial Services Industry in the following areas:
o Development and/or validation of (derivative) pricing and/or risk models (credit risk, market risk, operational risk);
o Development and/or review of risk management frameworks/policies;
- A proven track record in proactively building and managing client relationships;
- Strongly developed quantitative skills. An advanced degree in finance/ certification (CFA, FRM) is an asset;
- You have a critical and analytical mindset;
- Your approach is client and result oriented and you have excellent social, communication and presentation skills;
- You can express yourself fluently in English, Dutch and French.
