We currently have a career opportunity for an individual in FSO's Technology Enablement group. The individual will work directly with clients to transform their business problems into technology solutions. The goal is to support our clients' efforts to make their business units more effective and efficient and, where required, provide services in connection with the remediation and mitigation of process risk. Our experience is also important to the analysis of specific business requirements for alignment with technology architecture, technology infrastructure design, and vendor selection decisions that support the finance organizations of our clients. This position falls within our Tech Enablement Operations Improvement team, which helps our clients enhance the operating effectiveness of Operations functions by assisting them as they shift their emphasis from transaction-level control, processing and reporting to more value driven, decision support and analytics. Responsibilities Define small to medium sized client projects by establishing the project scope, approach, work plan, timelines, staffing requirements and budgets. Manage project teams through all phases of the technology enablement life cycle. Lend specific subject matter knowledge to the functional requirements, design, and integration phase of each project, helping to give specificity to the appropriate architecture, data model, system design and interface requirements. Manage day-to-day activities of the project by providing project leadership to a combination of EY and client personnel, including managing daily project activities, scope management, change management, issue escalation and resolution, production of project deliverables, and presentations to client personnel and leadership. Coordinate deployment of operational and technical initiatives, including deployment strategy, user training, and implementation. Use knowledge of the current IT environment and industry IT trends to identify the engagement and client service issues and communicate this information to the engagement team and client management through written correspondence and verbal presentations. Develop and maintain productive relationships with client management throughout the project while establishing expectations of value to be delivered. Actively develop staff and senior advisors on the projects by supporting individuals in developing project management, industry content, and communications/presentation skills. Generate new business opportunities. Understand EY and its service lines and actively assess/present ways to apply knowledge and services. Develop long-term relationships and networks both internally and externally. Research emerging industry trends and best practices and participate in practice development initiatives, such as creating points of view and proprietary engagement delivery methodologies. Advise clients on a variety of business process issues that help identify, assess, manage and measure the organization's capabilities. Use business process, organizational and technology capabilities and knowledge across several of the following focus areas:
- Credit Finance
- Mortgage (underwriting and origination)
- Card processing
- Loan processing
- Asset Finance/Leasing
Experience with a subset of the following products:
- Loans
- Mortgages
- Cards
Team with client technology professionals, and/or third-party strategic alliances to provide implementation of technology solutions. QualificationsTo qualify, candidates must have:
- a bachelor's degree and approximately 5 years of related work experience; or a graduate degree and approximately 4 years of related work experience
- a degree in computer science, engineering, accounting, finance or a related field; MBA or MS degree preferred
- a minimum of 3+ years experience in Financial Services, specifically in the lending space (mortgage, consumer, auto, credit cards)
- proven experience leading small to medium sized operations and technology change initiatives or system implementations with "brand name" consulting firms or internal consulting organizations at leading corporations
- understanding of key technology and services vendors and products supporting the mortgage value chain
- process and domain knowledge including mortgage loan originations, fulfillment, servicing securitization, and the secondary mortgage markets; experience with other consumer finance products (e.g., auto) beyond mortgage a plus
- excellent written and verbal communication skills for developing client deliverables and presentations
- ability to develop project approach, work plans, resource estimates, and cost estimates.

- demonstrated history of working in teams and developing junior staff
- flexibility to travel and work full-time on out-of-town assignments, as necessary

The successful candidate should possess strong knowledge of and experience in supervising and executing all phases of the technology life cycle, based on proven project management and testing methodologies. It is essential that the successful candidate possess a deep knowledge of technical architecture design and have a good understanding of technology tools and components to reasonably argue for and against all components (middleware, database, reporting tools, etc.) in financial systems architecture.
