The area: Finance Operations
With the end goal of providing the highest levels of service and efficiency at the lowest attainable cost, the FinOps team designs and executes Google's core finance transaction processes. These include order-to-cash, payroll, procure-to-pay and travel.
The role: Financial Systems Project Analyst
At Google, we are creating leading edge financial platforms that allow customers across the globe to transact with Google's various products both on-line and mobile. The New Product Introduction (NPI) team, which is part of Global Revenue Operations, plays a unique role in the creation of these systems by bridging the worlds of Finance and Product Development. The NPI team utilizes its deep accounting technical background and project management skills to design the financial requirements for new billing, payment and financial reporting systems. In the process, the team works closely with engineering and the broader finance organization to ensure the successful development, testing and implementation of these systems.
As a Financial Systems Project Analyst, you will be a key contributor in executing Google's rapid growth and roadmap of new product introductions. This dynamic, versatile role provides exposure to a wide array of Google's Operations and new Product Development functions.
Responsibilities:
- Project manage the creation of new financial processes and systems.
- Work closely with financial operations, engineering, sales finance, treasury and local country business finance controllers to design accounting and financial reporting requirements for new billing, payment and financial reporting systems
- Find ways of improving existing financial operations processes.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Business Administration (In lieu of degree, 4 years relevant work experience).
- 5 years relevant work experience, 2 in Management Consulting, IT System Implementation, or other project management experiences.
Preferred Qualifications:
- MBA or CPA.
- 8 years relevant work experience.
- Ability to understand and communicate big picture objectives while being detail oriented and thorough on assignments.
- Leadership skills, ability to take ownership of projects, set objectives, drive to results and influence without authority.
