Position Description:
The Global Messaging Content group seeks an experienced writer/editor to help write, edit and manage the publication process for equities focused thought leadership content. This is a new position within the team that will report to the SVP and global head of Messaging Content.

The Messaging Content team is part of the firm's Marketing Communications (MarComm) department which is responsible for managing, strengthening and protecting PIMCO's brand and reputation. Messaging Content helps conceive, shape and publish thought leadership articles from across the firm. These articles appear on PIMCO.com and/or as client collateral materials.

Responsibilities
• Formulate, write and/or edit a variety of different articles and marketing materials related to PIMCO's equities insights and product offerings, working directly with investment professionals and others across MarComm; while equities content is the primary responsibility, additional messaging and content assignments beyond the equity space may also be part of this role
• Spearhead the creation of content for a wide variety of editorial assignments including key message development, talking points for PIMCO investment professionals, product-description papers, strategy documents, etc.
• Serve as an in-house "reporter" by conducting interviews with portfolio managers, product managers and others and act as primary authors (un-credited) of the articles
• Manage multiple assignments of varying scope
• Represent MarComm at strategic meetings with key internal stakeholders, including the firm's equities business leader, portfolio managers, product managers and client facing professionals
• Manage articles and other written materials through a vigorous and critical compliance and "Content Committee" review

Position Requirements:
• Five or more years of professional writing experience, ideally as a financial journalist or financial services professional in the equities space. Communications and media relations professionals with strong writing backgrounds also will be considered
• Broad familiarity with financial markets is required
• Knowledge of equity investment management is a plus
• Ability to juggle multiple assignments
• Ability to present, develop and defend ideas and themes
• Support the firm in its global headquarters, working closely with investment professionals
• Undergraduate degree required
