Financial/Systems Analyst
Financial Analyst plays a multi-faceted role in performing analysis, testing and implementing projects and tasks. The objective of the financial analyst's role is ensure systems best track revenue and costs to meet performance targets customer expectations, and to develop new methods or processes to continually improve this function with a goal toward meeting increasingly higher targets.
The analyst is responsible for the planning, developing, and testing all collateral initiatives. The Financial Analyst ensures seamless integration of recently launched products and provides expertise on other critical financial management issues such as the quarterly review of bank fees and forecasting variance analysis. The analyst will be responsible for troubleshooting the full range of production issues from a global, technical level to a detailed analysis. The analyst will manage specific projects and conduct research as needed.
This position tests both our internal systems and our SWIFT systems prior to implementing any new initiatives which require set-ups and collateral movements. Testing all (4) systems is imperative prior to going live with the new initiatives.
This role requires substantial interaction with internal external customers, clearing technology group, senior management from banks and regulatory bodies to discuss requirements and reach consensus on any new business initiatives. (reach agreement or consensus on next steps, etc.)
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics or Accounting
- 5 to 7 years of experience with banking relationships
- Prior experience with QA testing
- Administer and manage specialized financial management projects
- Regularly uses considerable independent judgment and works independently to meet new or unusual requirements
- Proactively manage issues and opportunities related to collateral management.
- Company expert on SWIFT initiatives, projects, or enhancements.
- Participate in budget preparation, fee estimates, targets, and methods to best track revenue and costs to meet financial targets.
- Monitor service costs to ensure adequate pricing and to negotiate with external customers where applicable
- Performs as subject expert matter for all systems critical to the success of the Financial Unit's support of the Clearing House.
- Manage C21 collateral management enhancements including testing and implementation
- Ensure that new products and upgrades are seamlessly integrated into production
- Solving production issues related to the delivery of financial management services and incorporating these permanent "fixes" into business processes
- Troubleshooting and preventing issues at global, technical, and detailed levels
- Balance revenue maximization goals with CH's financial safeguards
- Integrate market data with CH variables to develop accurate budget forecasts
- Develop and execute project, testing and implementation plans given numerous time constraints
- Develop project plan and make decisions on when new initiatives can be executed into a production environment.
- Analyst must be able to prioritize initiatives and also make decisions to involve additional staff members in order to achieve goals
