The successful applicant will take on a varied and challenging role within the Financing Arbitrage Trade Support area, supporting a business covering trading of Equity Structured Products in over 20 countries across multiple Morgan Stanley entities. The candidate will be responsible for critical aspects of trade booking review and stock positioning processes, from identifying and escalating trade discrepancies to providing key internal and external client support. The role will be primarily focusing on Stock Loan and Cash Equity trades across a varied customer base. The role will provide an ambitious candidate with an excellent opportunity to develop detailed knowledge and understanding of Derivatives Operations, as well as exposure to the Trading Desk and external Clients.
The main aspect of the role will be to perform key trade support functions including:
- Monitor Cash Equity and Stock Loan activity across the various markets, ensuring timely positioning and matching for the various structures.
- Monitor Traders' positions and activity, ensuring that all positions are accurately reflected in internal books and records and risk systems.
- Monitor upcoming Dividend and Corporate Action activity, ensuring all positions and deadlines are advised to the BU.
- Handle queries from the desk, counterparts and other internal clients regarding booking differences and trade fails.
- Escalate items of risk to the trading desk, and ensure follow up until issues are resolved.
- Deliver quality service to the Firm's focus clients.
Skills Required:
Proven experience and understanding of Stock Loan, Corporate Actions and Dividends.
Demonstrated experience in Banking Operations with a proven track record in the same or similar functional coverage. Preferably Trade Support experience with exposure to trade life cycles and process flows, reconciliation and control functions.
