The Finance Risk Information Security Standards and Control (FinRISC) group is responsible for ensuring that the firm's risk framework is correctly applied within Finance as well as providing wider support to the Financial Reporting control framework. Functions include:
• FCG and Regulatory Controllers New Product Approval (NPA) Program Office
• Finance Business Unit Information Security Officer (BUISO)
• Finance Americas Business Continuity Planning (BCP) Coordinator
• Regulatory Reporting Quality Assurance
• Training
• Global Finance Policy Administration
• SOX
• RCSA
• End User Computing
• Risk Metrics Reporting

The successful candidate will be based in Glasgow as part of the EMEA Finance Risk team.

The key responsibilities of the role are:

Risk Metrics Tracking and Development:
• Management of the Glasgow Operational Risk reporting process
• Development and enhancement of KRIs to measure risk levels and control effectiveness. This includes the assessment of relevant benchmarks and risk ratings.
• Tracking and escalation of action plans associated with High Risk Internal Audit or BU-identified risk issues.
• Tracking and escalation of Operational Risk Incidents that occur or impact EMEA Finance, including weekly updates to EMEA Management Committee
• Assist EMEA Risk Leads in the execution of the Global Risk and Control Self Assessment process as it relates to functional areas that reside in Glasgow
• Facilitation of Monthly Risk sessions with Glasgow Senior Management
• Local SME on Operational Risk tools and work flow (RITA/RADAR)

Operational Risk Reporting:
• Collation and presentation of Operational Risk and Metrics Reporting to EMEA FCG Senior management in line with management expectations
• Production of monthly metrics for the controller space utilizing primarily Excel to produce a high quality product in a timely manner
• Assist with monthly and quarterly scorecard preparation. In particular, the carrying out of data mining and investigation of outliers.

Other responsibilities include (but are not limited to):
• Maintenance and submission of ABC recharges.
• Ad-hoc projects as required.

Skills Required

The candidate will be able to demonstrate strong guardianship skills.
Role requires liaison with various departments within FCG and the Firm. The candidate will be able to demonstrate excellent relationship building skills to develop client relationships, in particular through working with the US.

The candidate should be a qualified accountant, have a good understanding of operational risk, and be keen to learn more rapidly.

As above, a basic knowledge of financial products would be useful along with a desire to learn.
The candidate will be able to demonstrate strong PC skills using core MS Office applications. In particular, strong excel skills are required.
The candidate will be able to demonstrate the ability to interact with all levels of management within the firm as well as the ability to work with management outside the Glasgow Office location.

The candidate will be able to demonstrate good organizational skills to achieve project deliverables and objectives. The role will involve working on several concurrent tasks and the candidate will need to manage their daily and weekly tasks to meet all required targets.

• Good communication skills to influence and negotiate with users to ensure buy in and acceptance.
• Good written and presentation skills to communicate effectively to senior management within FCG and externally
