Fire Life Safety America, Inc. is a premier life safety contractor with offices along the east coast and in Texas. Currently, the Concord location seeks an experienced, team oriented FIRE ALARM TECHNICIAN for inspections, service and installation. Qualified candidates must have proven troubleshooting skills while maintaining quality work. Minimum 3 years experience in the life safety/fire alarms industry. NICET 2 certification preferred. Fire suppression experience a plus.
SUMMARY: Responsible for operating with minimal supervision while interpreting project design.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
1. Strong working knowledge of fire alarm codes. NICET II or NICET III preferred. Equivalent experience will be considered assuming individual pursues NICET alarms education.
2. Working knowledge of fire alarm programming software.
3. Able to coordinate between field crews and design to complete project.
4. Able to perform testing and maintenance on all fire alarm systems and complete documentation as necessary of programmed system.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
High School diploma, BA, BS, or engineering degree or experience or related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
COMPUTER SKILLS:
Strong working knowledge of personal computers and alarm panel programming.
LANGUAGE SKILLS:
Ability to read and write clearly. Ability to present information and respond to questions from managers, customers, AHJs (Authorities Having Jurisdiction) and the general public.
