First and second Year M&A Analysts recruitment

Our Investment Banking division focuses on the fields of Equities, Financial Markets and Strategic Advisory services. We cover over 400 European equities, accompany IPOs, capital increases, and provide advice on domestic as well as international mergers and acquisitions.
Our Frankfurt-based MA and ECM teams comprise close to 30 professionals with diverse backgrounds. Our core industries are Healthcare Chemicals, Industrials Automotive, Retail Consumer Goods as well as Technology, Media Telecoms. We have advised on a broad range of MA and ECM transactions; from multi-billion public takeovers and mandates for global private equity funds to small privately-owned family enterprises.
We are currently looking to add 2-3 first or second-year Analysts to our MA team. For first-year positions, this includes graduates with no practical experience (other than internships).
What your tasks will be as an Analyst
- Getting deeply involved in the management and structuring of MA processes on both sell-side as well as buy-side mandates for strategic and financial investors
- Taking ownership of own work streams on live and marketing projects, such as valuation and financial modelling work, various in-depth financial analyses, market research, information memoranda as well as data room, due diligence and process management
- Showing drive and creativity in contributing to the further building of the team, including recruiting, representing the firm and supporting the development of other team members
What you should have to offer
- Good understanding of how MA processes work on sell-side and buy-side mandates, involving strategic and financial buyers/ sellers
- Basic financial modelling experience gained during your first one or two years of employment or internships
- Some first understanding of constructing operating and financial models, trading and transaction comparables as well as fundamental rules under the common accounting regimes
- Ability to manage your tasks efficiently working on multiple live and/ or marketing projects at a time
- Team-player mentality and eagerness to learn, take on responsibility and to develop a career in a highly professional environment
- You should be fluent in English and German. Experience with tools such as FactSet, Bloomberg, MergerMarket, Factiva, etc. is benefical
