About the role
Reporting directly to the President of the Bank, the successful candidate will have the charisma, ability and experience to deliver our transition mandate. This senior role has responsibility for all banking operations. From marketing and business development to the generation and execution of private and public sector projects, you’ll ensure that the Bank remains commercially sound whilst having a powerful and positive impact on people’s lives. You’ll be engaging in policy dialogue at the highest levels of international business and with governments. You’ll also chair key decision-making committees and contribute to Board meetings, deputise for the President and, at all times, maintain an unequivocal commitment to the highest ethical standards. As we strive to be at the cutting edge of what we do, you will also be an enthusiastic advocate of change.
About you
You will be someone who understands that commercially sound banking can be partnered with socially inclusive development impact. You will have an exceptional record in principal investment to both private and public sector borrowers across a wide range of industries. You’ll have built an impressive career in international wholesale debt financing and equity investments and will be an expert in emerging markets, transition economies and risk dynamics. The successful candidate will have the credibility to foster relationships at the highest levels of government and business combined with internal leadership successes. You will also have proven your ability to lead and drive change and have the interpersonal skills, consultative experience and personal integrity to represent the Bank to a global audience. You’ll be a strategic thinker with a proven ability to shape policy and translate top-level strategy into impactful, organisation-wide action. Crucially, you will show an acute understanding of and commitment to the EBRD’s mandate, policy and transition objectives.
