FIs Credit Analyst / Exposure Management, Buy Side recruitment
Main responsibilities will include:
Regular credit review of new and existing Financial Institutions acting as credit counterparties.
Perform credit due diligence on a portfolio of Banks, including conference calls and visits.
Interact with clients/ trading desks/ operations on transaction approvals.
Understanding credit risk of transactions across the full spectrum of products offered to Bank counterparties/clients by the firm.
Solid knowledge of the Financial Institutions industry, including strategies, challenges and trends.
Negotiate relevant provisions and collateral terms in credit documents.
Skills and experience required:
- A numerate degree, post graduate qualification is preferred (e.g., FRM, MBA, CFA, CQF, ACA).
- Candidates should have relevant experience gained in Credit Risk Management.
- Asset management experience would be an advantage but not essential.
- A broader understanding of collateral and exposure issues is required.
- Demonstrate integrity and sound/independent credit judgment, and know when to seek guidance as needed.
- Ability to receive and give constructive feedback on processes, procedures and work relationships.
- Solid computer literacy and ability to utilise effectively the systems appropriate to area of specialisation.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Display a proactive approach to problem solving and the ability to meet tight deadlines.
- A confident communicator; able to work in a relatively flat organisation with frequent interactions across divisions and with senior management.
- Good team / relationship building skills.
