FIX Network Support Analyst recruitment
The successful candidate will be expected to have extensive experience supporting FIX connectivity solutions including the ability to work effectively with clients and network vendors .
Responsibilities:
Working with Clients, internal, and network vendor(s) to perform the following service-related functions:
Requirements solicitation, Design, and provisioning of FIX Order Flow
Testing and certification
Go-live implementation
On-going changes and enhancements:
Problem troubleshooting, support, and resolution
Occasional pre-sales support
Escalation point for FIX Support (Level 1) Support Desk
Working with vendors as partners to deliver a tightly integrated, seamless service
Participation in the development and on-going refinement, enhancement and continuous process improvement of all operational support procedures essential to the cost-effective delivery of network services.
Participation in the investigation, implementation, and operation of 3rd party tools to enhance/improve, automate, and streamline the delivery of network services.
Requirements:
In-depth experience in all aspects of FIX (Financial Information exchange) – capabilities, configuration, testing, certification, troubleshooting, industry trends.
Proven ability to work in mission critical operations and support environment.
Good overall knowledge and understanding of Wide Area Networks (WAN) and Local Area Networks (LAN).
Proven ability to partner with various internal departments to deliver superior customer service.
Periodic off-hours support.
Occasional travel to customer sites to perform on-site customization, testing, and troubleshooting.
Qualifications:
Minimum of 5 years experience in the securities trading industry and minimum of 3 years experience with FIX administration and support (preferably within the buy-side arena)
Degree or alternative third level technical qualification.
Excellent customer service and technical troubleshooting skills
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
A willingness to learn about and provide support on a variety of applications and interfaces
A background in portfolio management and trading system applications is preferred.
