The Client Connectivity GSD team is responsible for working with the business Direct Execution Services Team, IT teams, and the external client to manage the day-to-day running and overall stability of FIX and Client Desktop technology to external front office clients. This high-profile role requires candidates to have IT, business and project management skills to enable them to operate effectively with internal teams and external client organisations. Excellent communication skills are essential together with a desire to learn.
Responsbilities

Requirements
- Excellent technical skills specifically in the Windows and UNIX space
- Ability to support a multi tiered development environment
- Good knowledge of the financial markets
- High level of confidence dealing with Equities trading environments
- A conscientious nature knowing how to deal with people in more stressful business situations
- Minimum 2 years of Applications Support experience in trade desk/financial services environment
- Experience supporting and/or administering Sybase, Solaris/Linux/Unix and Windows
- Experience operating a trading platform
- University degree in IT with at least 4 years of experiences
- Understanding of Trade Life Cycle from Order Entry to Settlement
- Strong Transact-SQL experience
- Internetworking, TCP/IP, Tibco RV support experience
- FIX protocol support experience
- Perl, C#, C++, JAVA programming experience
