Position Description
Morgan Stanley is looking for an associate to join the Fixed Income eCommerce team in New York. Electronic Trading is an area of key strategic focus for Morgan Stanley, and to that end eCommerce team provides a valuable service for Morgan Stanley and its clients.
Key responsibilities include but not limited to:
• eCommerce metrics reporting and analysis
• Business analysis on the Institutional Client Portal (Morgan Stanley Matrix)
• Marketing for Morgan Stanley Matrix
Successful partnership with sales, trading, stats, COO office and technology will prove essential. The selected candidate will be an associate with approximately 2-3 years of work experience working in Financial Services.
E-Commerce Reporting
- Run regular reports on ECN performance and hit ratios. Data mine historical performance and produce presentations based on trends and various time series.
- Analyze eCommerce trends and stats and present to senior managers in the division
- Build and maintain productive relationships with vendors in the Fixed Income ecommerce space
Matrix Business Analysis and Marketing
- Partner with the Sales and Trading in various businesses to understand their requirements for MS Matrix and translate those requirements into functional specifications
- Conduct teach-ins for new MS Matrix functionality for Sales and Trading
- Accompany Sales to client visits and conduct platform demos
- Prioritize enhancements and triage defects that are raised by the testing process and in production.
Skills Required
- Approximately 3 years work experience working running ECN performance reports for Sales and Trading desks.
- The candidate must be self-directed and extremely well organized.
- Technical Skills: Excel a big plus, experience with data visualization and usage reports a strong plus
- Marketing experience a plus
