Fixed Income Credit Portfolio Manager recruitment
BlackRock's Fixed Income team manages more than $1.2 trillion in global fixed income assets across index, active long-only, alternative, and liability driven strategies. The platform offers fixed income investors one of the industry's broadest array of investment choices across index, model-based and fundamental investment styles.
BlackRock's Fixed Income group is seeking a Fixed Income Portfolio Manager who will be primarily responsible for the management of Index, ETF, and model-based funds with a focus on Credit portfolios. He/she will also be involved in the development and implementation of new technology to increase the automation and efficiency of the portfolio construction and trading process.
Responsibilities
- Construct and maintain Credit portfolios: Index, ETF, and model-based.
- Manage funds with daily flows, specific guidelines, corporate actions, etc.
- Ensure that portfolios are within risk tolerances and constraints.
- Partner with product groups in the development and launch of new funds.
- Enhance and streamline portfolio management processes within the credit group.
- Contribute to marketing of funds.
- Interact with sell-side to keep current on market trends.
- Actively monitor model signals to ensure their accuracy.
- Interact with research to enhance model and validate model output.
- Evaluate performance attribution and present portfolio performance.
Skills
- BA/BS required. MBA or progress towards CFA a plus.
- 3+ years of Fixed Income portfolio management experience. Experience managing Credit, Index, and/or ETF portfolios a plus.
- An in-depth understanding of fixed income market. Ability to recognize subtleties of different issue types and structures and apply to portfolio management decisions.
- Experience in new product development and strategy a plus.
- Ability to grasp quantitative concepts and their application to portfolio management.
- Ability to learn and use technology related to portfolio management, trading, etc.
- Ability to adapt quickly to rapidly changing market environments.
- Good communication skills.
