Fixed Income Documentation Analyst
Headquartered in London and one of the largest banking and financial services organisations in the world, HSBC is looking for a Fixed Income Documentation analyst to join their EM Transaction Management team.
The EM Transaction Management Team is responsible for supporting the Emerging Markets Business (including all Trade Support and Documentation functions from an Interest Rates perspective).
This role has the responsibility for the ISDA confirmation production for all events relating to structured and vanilla interest rate derivatives transactions.
This role also covers some affirmation, chasing and checking of incoming documentation.
Documentation Analyst responsibilities:
- ISDA confirmations for structured and vanilla interest rate derivative transactions and Total Return Swaps ensuring Group standards (F.I.M.) are adhered to at all times and Best Practice Guidelines are followed wherever possible.
- Support the Front Office Emerging Markets business to provide a full, efficient, controlled and effective operational function; this encompasses checking trade input, drafting of the ISDA documentation, producing new templates for existing and new products
- Liaison with clients/internal contacts for resolution of queries and producing daily reports with focus on long outstanding items for follow up and resolution.
- Establish/update procedures and desk instructions for all functions currently under your control, ensuring adherence to FIM and following documented best practice wherever possible.
Documentation Analyst skills required:
- Knowledge of Murex and Global Calypso
- Product knowledge of Interest Rate Swaps, FRAs, Cross Currency Swaps and Total Return Swaps
- Strong Excel proficiency, high level of attention to detail
- Previous drafting experience
- Interpersonal skills needed in order to deal with both offshore and onshore colleagues.
