Fixed Income Emerging Market Portfolio Quant
JOB DESCRIPTION
The purpose of the Fixed Investment Researcher is to maximize the investment strategies and purposes of the portfolio’s return, by working alongside senior portfolio managers (PM) specifically for debt, sovereigns and emerging markets. This is a highly technical quantitative portfolio team who need a well rounded quant who can handle research, develop portfolio models, analyze data sets, and programme in a statistical language where needed to.
Location: Boston, USA.
The role:
- Create fresh and work on existing models for fixed income portfolios.
- Analyze research data sets related to emerging markets, debt, sovereigns.
- Work with Portfolio mangers (PMs) to maximize and develop new investment strategies.
- Analyze data specific to country analysis, evaluate market conditions, build financial models.
- Carry out both statistical and econometric driven research to maximize traded returns.
Requirements:
- 1-5 years financial markets exposure to emerging markets, sovereigns, quantitative models.
- A demonstrated track record covering fixed income models or portfolio research.
- Academically a MA or MS in a quantitative discipline with a strong GPA.
- Ideally have a proven track record of research work i.e. white papers or publications.
- Have a problem solving mentality as well as strong analytical intuition.
- Able to communicate and interact with the business effectively.
