Fixed income Emerging Markets strategist – CEE – VP
Our client, a high performing investment bank are looking to expand their Emerging Markets platform in London. The group have a solid trading and sales platform and are looking to build upon this with the hire of an experienced quantitative strategist.
Applicants must have some experience coving the CEE region.
Responsibilities will include:-
- Emerging Market Fixed Income strategy – be fully responsible providing coverage in local interest rates, credit and bond markets for Central and Eastern Europe, forecasting and quantitative modelling.
- Generating successful trade ideas across the region.
- Contributed to creation of thematic cross-asset products for investors, representing the region
- publishing strategies and trade ideas in the local bond, interest rate, FX, and sovereign CDS markets.
- Published regular (daily, weekly) updates on FI pricing, positioning, technicals, economic data and market dynamics across the region.
- Constructed data surprise indices to track impact on local markets.
- Participate in internal discussions and risk meetings with risk takers on fixed income strategy
This is an excellent opportunity to report directly to the regional head of emerging markets research and assist in building the
EM fixed income analytics platform .
The group are looking for someone with an excellent grasp of the macro picture as you will be requite to perform
macroeconomic analysis and trading recommendations for sovereign and quasi
sovereign credits however in addition candidates must have a solid quantitative background and demonstrate the ability to
perform Econometric modelling of financial and economic variables.
Within this role you will be working closely with the trading desk but also with the sales team.
