Job Description:
Interactive Data Corporation is a leading global provider of financial market data, analytics and related services to financial institutions, active traders and individual investors.
We are looking for a few Interns to join our Evaluation Services department during the summer. You will become more familiar with the fixed income markets, in addition to gaining exposure to analytical methods for fixed income products such as cash flow and scenario analysis. You will work as part of a team on a variety of tasks ranging from daily production, data-oriented tasks such as entering/updating market color, light analytical project work, managing reports, monitoring financial news headlines, and various ad-hoc assignments as needed.
Qualifications:
At minimum, candidates must be pursuing a Bachelor or Master's degree in Finance, Economics, Computer Science or Financial Engineering and have knowledge of the Fixed Income Markets in addition to any of the following:
- Proficiency with Excel (vlookup, charts/graphs, pivot tables, macros).
- Proficiency with VBA.
- Ability to program in C++ or C#.
- Experience with SQL and working with large data sets.
- Strong attention to detail, independent and creative problem solver, required.
- Prior data entry/research experience in financial environment is a plus.
