Based in the Global Markets division of an International Banking Group, this role will form part of the Fixed Income Operations Management Team. This is a newly created position that will have an APAC remit to work closely with the management team to execute Ops strategies and objectives and analyse and improve current processes and issues to improve performance.
The successful candidate will be responsible for building out a suite of MI on operational performance for the client as well as providing support to the Head of Fixed Income Operations in delivering strategy, such as STP. You will act as the oversight and escalation point for any client processing issues and build strong relationships with up and downstream Operations and business teams. You will sponsor Fixed Income related projects and strive for a continuous improvement environment, working closely with Change Management and IT divisions.
To qualify, individuals must possess:
- Degree qualified or equivalent
- 6+ years Investment Banking experience
- Strong people management experience
- In-depth understanding of the life cycle for Fixed Income products and Vanilla Structured Notes
- Good Project Management skills and a continual improvement mindset
- Strong problem solving skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, able to build meaningful relationships an communicate with senior management and clients
- Fluency in English essential, Cantonese and/or Mandarin preferred
