Fixed Income Post Trade
Our client is a leading provider of post trade services to trading members in the OTC bond markets, including regulatory reporting, pricing and operational risk-mitigation matching services. With the upcoming MiFID II, we will aim to provide a single regulatory reporting hub covering transaction reporting and trade reporting services. Our client also offers a number of trading-related products and services, including: market data to assist clients with trading decisions; connectivity solutions that facilitate straight-through processing; technology services to optimize trading environments; and execution services for exchange-traded fund managers and other clients.
Your role
As the Senior Product Manager for regulatory reporting, your main responsibility will be to shape and deliver the new service offering around the upcoming regulatory changes (primarily MiFID II and EMIR) You will also be responsible for shaping the transparency services strategy, which go hand in hand with our new reporting services.
You will be expected to keep abreast and anticipate the implications of existing and new legislation in the relevant areas.
You should have existing relationships with the dealer community, and be equipped to articulate that community’s major concerns, business requirements and strategic initiatives as related to the regulatory environment. You should have an established working relationship with key regulators and associations such as AFME, ICMA.
You will be able to present as a subject matter expert on issues of transparency and regulatory obligations in front of a wide range of internal and external audiences. You will be expected to work closely with the commercial, regulatory and public affair teams as well as our development group, legal and finance departments.
This role will be based in London.
Requirements
- 10 years’ experience in a product management role or equivalent, primarily working with the dealer community
- Must have strong existing relationships with the dealer community, and be equipped to articulate that community’s major concerns, business requirements and strategic initiatives as related to the regulatory environment.
- Must have working relationship with key regulators and associations such as AFME, ICMA.
- Recent experience and current knowledge of regulatory changes and upcoming market structure changes. Must be able to articulate our role within the market structure changes..
- Previous work with and a strong understanding of the Fixed Income market with particular knowledge around the mechanics of fixed income trade execution (OTC, exchange, IDB, etc.) and post trade products processing (clearing, settlement, regulatory reporting, etc.).
- Management experience and a proven ability to mentor junior product managers
- Excellent Interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence internal and external audiences at all levels of seniority
- Excellent analytical skills and critical thinking abilities, proven ability to prioritize projects, innovative thinking and a client-focused approach
