Fixed Income Product Manager

The key responsibilities of the role will include:

•Working closely with Fixed Income portfolio managers and product specialists to acquire expert knowledge to help position multiple fixed income strategies.

•Acting as the key liaison point across all Fixed Income Strategies, participating actively and enthusiastically in the sales and client service efforts in conjunction with the relationship, sales, consultant relations and global key account teams, providing “behind-the-scenes” support and serving as a resource to articulate and represent the Fixed Income products.

•Developing a strategic plan for existing products and working with others to develop new product ideas.

•Writing and review of all output to support the product line including sales presentation material, RPF language and consultant questionnaires and translation of portfolio data into useable information for client letters / reports and ad-hoc product presentations. Should be an informed spokesperson for the relevant product strategies at all times.

•Delivering training on the current Fixed Income offering to sales teams, sharing information on the investment characteristics, portfolio themes, positioning and performance of each strategy and packaging this information with other material needed including e.g. explanations/rationale for key holdings or an analysis of the strengths and weaknesses vs. competitor products for the particular client base.

•Conducting in-depth analysis of competitor strategies and industry trends in Fixed Income to ensure that products, extensions of products and new products are always market driven.

•Ensuring that all materials provided to Sales Teams are approved by compliance.

Key Skills and Qualities required:

•5 + years of asset management experience.

•First degree plus business qualification or CFA preferred. Second language welcome.

•Sound investment knowledge across a range of Fixed Income strategies and products.

•Product development and management experience – knowledge of UCITS regulations preferred.

•Excellent written skills (clarity and accuracy essential).

•Excellent communication skills (ability to communicate with people across multiple time zones where English may not be the first language, while ensuring the message is not lost).

•Strong time management skills – ability to deal with multiple conflicting requests and deadlines essential.

•Ability to gain credibility quickly and forge strong and collaborative working relationships internally, with multiple stakeholders.

•Strong team player.

•Proactive and innovative - willingness to take the initiative and accept responsibility.

•Commercial awareness and experience of partnering with sales and client relationship teams.
