Fixed Income Rates

UBS's Fixed Income business is truly global, and you will work closely with colleagues in Asia, Europe and the US. Outside of Fixed Income, you will collaborate with our Equities, Financing and Wealth Management businesses to help deliver cross-business solutions to our clients.

Distribution engages in a service-driven sales approach, with dialogue focussed on the strategic decision makers within organisations. By delivering the full range of UBS FI products and services, distribution focuses on providing outstanding client.

Key clients include both domestic and international banks, hedge funds, money managers, and sovereign entities.

Key Responsibilities include:
• Managing and expanding UBS' existing global client base;
• Providing specialist derivative skills in formulating trade ideas and execution strategies;
• Influencing and driving the AUD/NZD product suite through the existing global sales team;
• Working in partnership with risk, operations and traders within UBS's business and regulatory guidelines.

Requirements

• 3-5yrs relevant experience in interest rate products, specializing in derivatives in the Australian and New Zealand market;
• Very strong technical knowledge of interest rate products including derivative pricing methods, factors that affect pricing in leveraged structures, domestic market conventions (e.g. rate-sets), understanding of the latest market and regulatory developments and their impact on pricing;
• Good understanding of how global markets affect the Australian and New Zealand markets;
• A basic understanding of domestic and G10 economics;
• Strong Excel skills with some knowledge of VBA and the ability to operate pricing models in conjunction with traders;
• Respect for a strong compliance culture.
• Openness to re-locating to another major financial centre in 2-3 years
