Fixed Income Sales Support
AGS on behalf of RBS represents contract and temporary opportunities for RBS MIB (Markets and International Banking). We have an outstanding contract opportunity for a Fixed Income Sales Support to make their mark with one of the world's largest international banking and financial services companies. In the role of a Fixed Income Sales Support, you will play an integral role in helping our client deliver market leading services that set it apart from its competitors.
To ensure that risk entered into front office booking systems is correctly reflected in downstream systems in an accurate, timely and efficient manner for Fixed Income products; including the subsequent confirmation and affirmation with the counterparty on the other side of the trade. Support given to traders and sales alike on trade booking, confirmation, allocation and amendment related issues. Responsible for the reconciliation, resolution and escalation of key risk indicators. Supports the delivery of strategies and improvements to reduce operational / trade lifecycle risk as well as improving and maintaining position of RBS' industry ranking in operational areas. Through this process, oversee that trades remain profitable and do not incur avoidable costs and cost savings are achieved where possible.
Additional Position Details:
- Understand the broad strategy of Fixed Income Operations initiatives on a global basis, the specific business strategy of own function, and how the role supports these with objectives that have been set.
- Deals with Confirmations queries/requests/allocations in a timely manner.
- Look at ways to continually improve the efficiency of the process and exploit opportunities to create STP and reduce process risk.
- Identifies and assesses opportunities for developments and improvements.
- Work closely with other Operation functions and other infrastructure groups to support a 'one team approach'. Seen as a centre of excellence and pivotal communicator.
- Maintain a core service delivery and look to exceed expectations through understanding needs.
- Respond to client emails in a timely manner, providing accurate resolution of the query.
- Support and enhance internal/external customer relationships
- To attend client operational review meetings when required
- Maintain and improve RBS' industry rankings
- Complies with relevant Group Policies, testing and certifying (or considers and escalates) the adequacy and effectiveness of the business's controls on a regular basis.
- Establishes and documents (or follows and/or maintains) operating procedures which include relevant controls to meet Group and local policy requirements.To be accountable for ensuring you understand, uphold and promote the Conduct Risk standard pillars:
