As a Flammability Engineer, you will be responsible for all technical areas of flammability which relate to the design, manufacture and testing of all composite components.

Qualification and implementation of new materials for use in composite materials which will advance their flammability performance, you will work alongside composite engineers to ensure all new products meet and exceed all required flammability regulations.

Your duties will include:

- Developing the current understanding of flammability certification, documentation and requirements
- Providing technical leadership and guidance
- Maintaining and updating materials registers and specifications

To be considered for this exciting opportunity, you must have a degree in a relevant discipline such as materials, chemistry, aeronautical or mechanical engineering or related. Equally important is your first class communication and team working skills.

As a Flammability Engineer, you will be motivated and results-driven with superb judgement and decision making capabilities. Strong interpersonal skills are also key.

Project management experience, from initial research to implementation, would be beneficial to your application, as would experience of certification in an aerospace environment. Experience of one or more of the following areas would also be an advantage: composite materials, manufacturing techniques, testing standards or data analysis. Relevant working experience in one or more of the following areas would also be desirable: composites, chemistry, materials or engineering.
