Fleet Manager/Coordinator Job in Miramar 33029, Florida US

Williams Scotsman, Inc., a leader in the mobile office and modular building business, is seeking a Fleet Manager.  With over 90 locations throughout the US and Canada, we maintain one of the largest mobile office and storage unit lease fleets in North America, serving customers for more than 50 years.

The Fleet Manager will track and manage equipment at the branch, according to company policies and processes. The incumbent is responsible for maintaining accurate asset registers, tracking equipment by location, managing the equipment maintenance schedule, and coordinating repair and maintenance activities.

Responsibilities include:

·         Overall responsibility for fleet assets; their condition, location, inventory counts, refurbishment conversion plans within the branch.

 

·         Provide accurate estimates for the refurbishment of each unit that includes money, time and material.

 

·         Assign checked-in fleet a condition code in accordance to Williams Scotsman’s qualifications.

 

·         Standardize inventory controls for fleet assets in yards.

 

·         Manage and coordinate all check-ins and checkouts.

 

·         Ensure quality control within the department

 

·         Ensure timely and accurate processing of fleet transactions and make recommendations to improve and streamline workflow.

 

·         Update new specifications for stock models.

 

·         Develop and maintain budget of shop.

 

·         Provide monthly measurement of fleet asset utilization.

 

·         Implement a preventive maintenance program.

 

·         Track repairs and maintenance on a standard work-order system.

 

·         Able to effectively present information to all levels of management and shop.

 

·         Work closely with Safety to ensure compliance with all regulatory and company policies.  

 

 

Ideal candidates will have:      

·         High School Diploma or equivalent, (College Degree preferred).

·         5+ years demonstrated experience in operations, manufacturing, planning, construction, inventory or procurement.

·         Strong Analytical skills.

·         Comfortable with MS Office and other systems.

·         Strong interpersonal and coordination skills.

·         Experience with Lean fundamentals is a plus.
