The Fleet Class A Lead Mechanic will be part of the Casa Grande Traffic team. The successful candidate will be part of the work group responsible for the service, maintenance and repair of all fleet vehicles in assigned areas, to include all OTR Tractors, Trailers, Sales Operations, and Service vehicles assigned to the Casa Grande Traffic Center and Plant. The Fleet Class A Mechanic must meet the following minimal requirements.
· Able to lift 75-100 lbs. Safely
· Comfortable working on/under trucks for and entire shift (8-10 hrs.)
· Must be able to read and write and possess basic computer skills.

· Must be willing to work a flexible schedule including nights/weekends
Position Description:
Immediate opening for an experienced Class A Mechanic. Qualified individual will possess experience with mid-size P30 trucks, and Class A tractor/trailers. Proven quality record, sound decision-making skills and ability to diagnose, repair and maintain a gasoline/diesel fleet. DOT Certification and/or CDL license is required. Ability to manage parts inventory and have an aptitude for all aspects of vehicle repair. Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate and schedule maintenance and repairs to ensure reliability of assigned fleet.
- Plan, coordinate and schedule daily work.
- Ensure deployment of proper asset mix and spares to ensure reliability and to protect volume spikes.
- Coordinate and schedule preventive maintenance on assigned trucks.
- Manage proper level of parts inventory.
- Maintain up-to-date files for PM’s and DOT regulated assets.
- Understand and follow company policies and practices.
Job Qualifications:
- Prefer hands on experience in fleet maintenance and experience with computerized maintenance systems.
- Knowledge and experience with maintenance shop/garage operations.
- Flexible - willingness to work off shifts and weekends
