We are seeking a suitably qualified and experienced individual to fill a Perth based permanent role within the fleet strategy and delivery division of one of the worlds leading mining groups. Utilise your mobile equipment experience and analytical capabilities and gain an understanding of the entire WA iron ore operation across all sites.
This role supports the operations by identifying mobile equipment necessary to support the existing operations and expansion projects. The mobile equipment ranges from light mobile equipment through to heavy mobile mining equipment. The purpose of the role is to provide a planning and analysis interface between the operations and equipment suppliers.
The key tasks and accountabilities of the mining equipment analyst include:
- development and maintenance of mobile equipment strategies and plans including economic replacement points and fleet size requirements
- compilation of annual capital plan compilation including replacement strategies and growth equipment requirements
- evaluation and analysis of mobile equipment options including recommendations
- preparation of capital expenditure applications
provision of technical advice, analysis and planning skills in a timely, safe and effective manner - monitoring of mobile equipment performance
- liaising with stakeholders such as maintenance and operations personnel
The successful candidate will maintain previous experience in a mining environment with mobile mining equipment, capital application expenditure preparation and financial analysis with respect to option comparison and mobile equipment replacement decisions and writing technical reports. Also essential are intermediate MS Suite skills, commercial negotiation and contract management experience.
