Flex-time Wellness Coach - OptumHealth (20-40 hours per week depending on business needs)

• Working by phone, in a fast paced, busy office in Richardson, TX (1311 W Pres George Bush Hwy), you'll provide professional health and wellness advice and education to members
• Create a health vision and establish goals with members offering assistance and advice on their health and wellness program
• Provide an adaptable, knowledgeable, supportive line of contact for members by listening and typing simultaneously while delivering effective coaching that promotes behavior change
• Clarify information members receive, offering additional assistance, including direction to other resources based on the unique physical, psychosocial, cultural, age-specific needs of each member
THIS POSITION IS BENEFITS ELIGIBLE
The most important things you need to bring to this exciting job are:
• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent combination of education and relevant health coaching experience
• 3+ years of demonstrated success in health education/wellness coaching of individuals in disease prevention, health promotion and behavior change
• Certification for health/wellness coaching is desirable
• Working knowledge of motivational strategies and understanding of health behavior change theories and their application
• Proven administrative abilities, with strong computer and software application skills
• Excellent interpersonal skills with a high energy level
• A commitment to making peoples' live healthier
• Ability to work a flexible schedule from 20 - 40 hours/week including evenings until 10pm and Saturday 8am -1pm.
