Position Description

Position is in Propulsion Systems Engineering. Responsibilities include managing employees and first-level managers performing engineering and technical activities in the areas of Flight Engineering; developing and executing integrated departmental plans, policies and procedures and providing input on departmental business and technical strategies, goals, objectives. Additional duties include acquiring resources for department activities, providing technical management of suppliers and leading process improvements; developing and maintaining relationships and partnerships with customers, stakeholders, peers, partners and direct reports; providing oversight and approval of technical approaches, products and processes; managing, developing and motivating employees and first-level managers. Ability to set and execute strategy a must. In addition to technical leadership, employee and leadership development will be a priority.
