About our Program:
The Florida Hospital Neuroscience Institute and the Walt Disney Pavilion at Florida Hospital for Children invite you to be a part of our innovative, patient-centered epilepsy program. We are looking for highly motivated and skilled EEG techs who want the opportunity to grow and expand in the field of neurodiagnostics. Our program is led by nationally recognized leaders in the field of epilepsy and we use leading diagnostic imaging technology, advanced medical therapies, and surgical innovations to treat, cure, and restore families impacted by epilepsy.
JOB DESCRIPTION
Performs quality EEG, seizure monitoring, and evoked potential recordings. Has the ability to scan, correlate, and clip study information. Facilitates all aspects of study completion and reporting. Actively participates in outstanding customer service and accepts responsibility in maintaining relationships that are equally respectful to all. Is knowledgeable in and carries out all applicable processes of the department. Assumes responsibility for designated areas or procedures. Teaches and directs the work of other staff and students as required. Participates in the Florida Hospital performance improvement program. Performs additional duties as requested.
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS REQUIRED:
- BLS upon hire or within 90 days.
- Knowledge of EEG procedures and equipment.
- Ability to observe EEG tracings and respond appropriately to seizure activity. Recognizes artifact and reapplies or replaces appropriate electrode(s).
- Ability to scan, correlate, and clip studies.
- Functions independently with little or no supervision.
- Communicates effectively.
- Possesses excellent customer service skills.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
- Minimum one year EEG experience or graduation from an EEG school.
