Flow Derivative Trade Support Analyst recruitment
The role is within the Equity Derivatives Middle Office , specifically the Trade Support team that acts as the first point of contact for various equity trading desks. Fundamentally the role involves ensuring the timely and accurate capture of trade data within the risk management system. The team has day-to-day interaction with the Front Office, other Operations’ areas, Finance, Credit Risk, Market Risk and IT in solving complex problems.

The team supports a diverse product range, including vanilla OTC products, cash, listed securities, ETFs and swaps. The individual will be expected to be very adept at picking up new processes and procedures. Over the first 6 months the candidate will be expected to have a good understanding of the risk management system and the front to back processes for these products enabling competent managing and escalation of risk issues. This will be achieved through on the job training, time spent in other areas and also educational courses with regard to improving their technical knowledge.
Day to day responsibilities will include:
• Trade Capture (ETFs, Vanilla OTC Listed options, Futures and Variance Swaps)
• Notification and maintenance of expirations and trade events (including Corporate Actions).
• Control of risk management via the maintenance of reconciliation’s and checking of PL reports.
• Solving complex problems and acting as an interface to the Business, Operations and Finance to ensure all client needs are met in an efficient manner.
• Process improvement Projects

Successful candidates will work within a team of 4 trade support analysts, and will primarily support the ETF trading.
The team is responsible for execution of trade bookings and exception monitoring of high volume STP trades in addition to query management and managing upstream and downstream demands.
Specifically in relation to ETF Support, candidates will be heavily involved in the setup, creation and associated bookings for newly created ETFs. Tasks will include creating custom baskets, processing very large trading files and managing downstream dependencies.
The team plays a pivotal role in analysing end of day supervisory controls and middle office accuracy /performance. The environment is exceptionally fast paced; as such diligence, accuracy, teamwork and being able to cope in a high pressure environment are essential.
