Summary
The candidate will work for the Flow Rates Sales Team in London acting as an assistant for the Team. The product range the team cover includes government bonds, covered bonds and interest rate derivatives.
The assistant will be supporting the team in the in a broad variety of tasks that are necessary on the trading floor. The main purpose of the role is to make sure that the sales persons can give all their attention to service the clients. In order to do that it is essential that the candidate has attention to details and is able to work independently in a fast pace environment

Main responsibilities
- Collect and distribute relevant information that will help the Salespeople during the day, including research notes, credit lines and other client specific information
- Function as a contact person for middle office and back office staff in regards to queries regarding trade settlements
- The candidate will be given substantial responsibility in the post trade settlement process. After a trade is done, the candidate will use the relevant systems to initiate the booking of the trade.
- Communicate with other banks when needed to ensure that any administrative issues that might arise after trade is done are resolved as quick as possible
- Assist the sales team in any other way that might be needed during the day. This can include making power point presentations, build and format spreadsheets or find requested information on Bloomberg
CANDIDATE PROFILE
Education
2:1 Bachelor Degree or Masters degree
Past experience
Relevant experience in the financial sector that can prove that the candidate has a genuine interest, this can take various forms such as internships or extracurricular activities.
Languages
English and at least one other European language
Technical skills
Basic understanding of bonds and swaps, full proficiency in power point and excel

- Being comfortable with carry out tasks that require high attention to detail in a rather high speed
- Being creative and interested in finding new solutions to problems
- Having a general understanding of macroeconomics and what factors that affect financial markets
