FLT driver for 2012 Olympic Games (Grays) Job in Grays, Home Counties UK
Manpower has fantastic temporary opportunities available between May and September this year, to be part of the crew at UPS, who are going to be responsible for virtually all the logistics services for The London 2012 Olympic Games. As a world leader in logistics, UPS will support over 170 Games sites, provide warehousing services, and leverage a global distribution network to collect and deliver practically everything from packages and documents to heavy freight, and even assist with the clean-up efforts when the Games end.
Your role as a FLT Crew Member will involve but not be restricted to:
Loading and Unloading of equipment on and off lorries
Moving equipment around the sporting venue into its correct area
Manual handling of equipment on and off pallets
Loading equipment back on to pallets post events.
Required skills:
Counterbalance Forklift certificate, accredited by RTITB or ITTSAR
Previous FLT experience
Flexibility to work various shift patterns.
The willingness to do manual handling of equipment as well as FLT work.
Ability to lift and shift heavy equipment, either on your own or as part of a team
Driving license preferred but not essential.
