Fluid Catalytic Cracking Process Engineer

Job Description The Fluid Catalytic Cracking Process Engineer is responsible for providing technical and operational expertise on the FCC process units. This includes: unit monitoring, troubleshooting, identifying long-term improvement opportunities, scoping design of projects, catalyst optimization, turnaround planning support, start-up support, etc. This individual would be responsible for mentoring developing future engineers as well as networking with other FCC engineers at other sites. Primary Job Functions: ?Provide refinery technical and operational expertise within FCC process area ?Identify long-term improvement opportunities for process area (margin improvement, reliability; etc.) ?Implement technologies to improve unit/refinery profitability ?High level monitoring and troubleshooting for unit and its integral operations ?Lead process development activities for unit area ?Participate actively in Network for process area ?Mentor junior process engineers Job Requirements: ?BS Chemical Engineering degree Preferred Knowledge/Skills/Abilities: ?Minimum 3 years work experience in a petrochemical plant or equivalent understanding of petrochemical processes ?Minimum 2 years work experience on FCC operating unit or equivalent understanding of FCC operations ?Experience with FCC start-ups ?Experience with FCC Unit Monitoring Troubleshooting ?Experience with turnaround planning, execution support ?Knowledge in process safety and process design ?Knowledge of Honeywell TDC 3000 control system ?Able to demonstrate leadership, initiative, teamwork, effectiveness and self confidence ExxonMobil is an Equal Opportunity Employer Job Location Baton Rouge, LA
