We are currently seeking experienced Trading Finance Product Control professionals to join our Finance team in Singapore and provide support to the Fixed Income, Currencies and Commodities Group (FICC). FICC provides a variety of services across the globe with an underlying specialisation in interest rate, commodity or foreign exchange related institutional trading, marketing, lending, clearing or platform provision.

FICC has established a full service regional sales and trading hub in Singapore offering foreign exchange, interest rate and credit products to clients in Asian countries. Reporting to the Head of Product Control based in Singapore, the successful candidate will be a key member of the team responsible for:
- Product control for the Asian operations of FICC Finance.
- Provide value added analysis of results - demonstrating in depth business and product knowledge.
- Relationship management with business heads, traders, settlements, legal entity controllers ('LEC').
Key responsibilities will include:
- Daily PL analysis, verification and sign off with traders.
- Discussion with traders regarding PL estimates, trading strategies and impacts on PL.
- Determine trading related provisions and adjustments.
- Review transfer pricing charges, and commentary on statutory PL's.
- Balance sheet analysis and control including monitoring daily reconciliations and general ledger postings, month-end close and substantiation of the balance sheet.
- Liaise with LECs to ensure appropriateness of balance sheet bookings by entity.
- Rates testing review and analysis.
- New product contribution and review.
- Ensure data quality in source systems in conjunction with MOD Settlements and traders.
- Monthly Management reporting and analysis.
- Process review and improvement.
- Risk analysis.
- FX exposure calculation, reporting and liaison with Front office and Sydney finance with respect to FX hedging.
- Ad hoc projects and reviews.
- Support regional expansion.
Key skill requirements:
Business Knowledge
- Understanding of and interest in financial instruments and derivatives.
- Demonstrated financial services industry experience.
Leadership Skills
- Strong team leader and team player, able to motivate staff and manage team workload.
Technical Specialist Skills
- Deep accounting and financial instruments knowledge through exposure to product accounting or accounting for financial instruments.
- Strong practical IFRS knowledge.
Qualifications and Background:
- Relevant university degree.
- CA qualified (or equivalent).
- Extensive product and financial control experience.
- Exposure to financial instruments in the Big 4 environment.
