We currently have an exciting Direct Hire/Placement opportunity for a Category (Cat) Specialist in Miami. In this position you will Support managers in the execution of supply categories to get the best price and service conditions for the company clients. Responsibilities, prospects for professional growth include and general position: The ideal candidate will lead the analysis and the transaction of supply categories to get the best price and service conditions for the client. The category specialist is responsible of achieving the income objectives of each project, of leading the improvement of internal initiatives and of enabling the development of the people under his/her responsibility. To collect, understand and analyze key, critical and/or relevant information referring to the negotiations with the objective of defining requirements and strategies to execute them. To execute negotiations and categories of products and services in order to guarantee the best purchasing prices and to generate savings for the clients. Identify and anticipate potential obstacles or complications when executing the categories and to duly display them in order to define possible solutions. Management of incidents, follow-up of agreements and measurement of suppliers performance. To evaluate the performance and establishment, execution and follow-up of the action plans. To hold meetings with clients to communicate, submit and discuss the results of each of the transaction stages with the objective of keeping the client, supplier and the operations management informed of the activities and advancements of the category. Education and experience required: - University Degree, preferably Graduate or Bachelor in ADE, Business, Economic or Engineering Areas. Postgraduate degree: an MBA or similar will be highly valued - 4 years of experience in supply, purchasing, logistics, planning or consulting positions - Outlook, Excel, word and PowerPoint - Fluency in Spanish and or Portuguese but must understand Spanish - Planning, Organization and Project Management - Experience in management of clients and suppliers - Analysis and optimization of supply chains - Leadership capability in result-oriented teams - High capability of motivating, delegating and developing people - High degree of commitment with the Company and its objectives - Proactivity and Initiative, Efficiently result-oriented and Proved knowledge of the purchasing categories under his/her responsibility - Knowledge of traditional negotiation techniques, as well as of the suppliers market - Knowledge of on-line negotiation techniques, Capability of transmitting, clearly and accurately, written or verbal information, highlighting the critical and relevant issues.
