Equity Derivatives Business Analyst required for Exotic, Vanilla Funds trading desk Front Office Greenfield project within an Investment Bank.
This is by far one of the more exciting Business Analyst roles I have recruited for. The position sits on the trading floor amongst the traders. The project is to tear apart the current trading platform and re build a bespoke internal one for Equities. This is a business backed initiative with the project manager owned by the business and an allocated team of 4 developers and 2 BAs. The current platform is Murex and is one of the platforms that will be removed and replaced with the new bespoke one.
The position is extremely hands on in that you will be involved from interviewing stakeholders, the investigation of positions, running workshops for the users, documenting the landscape to testing. Due to the intensity of the trading environment it is essential that you have Equity Derivative business knowledge and are able to ask the appropriate questions around Front and Middle Office functionality within Risk Finance, eg IPV or PL related questions.
Experience needed to perform this role to a competent level will include pure BA skills, documentation and Equity Derivatives business knowledge. It is also imperative to understand the Murex interface
