Job Title:Food Composition Section Manager

Job Desc:Working for a leading food research organisation you will be employed as Food Composition Section Manager working within the Chemistry and Biochemistry department.

You will be an experienced analytical chemist used to undertaking testing and research activity on food within laboratories.In this role you will be testing samples for their nutritional composition for clients within the food industry.As Section Manager you will have responsible for 4 Team Leaders and a total of 18 staff so experience of managing a team where you have had responsibility for staff motivation and utilisation is essential.

In addition to your research and staff management responsibilities your duties will also include:

Financial and budgetary control of your sector.

Strategic business development using external marketing and sales.

Management of resources and work practices to ensure operational efficiency

Managing technical delivery of outputs

Ensuring compliance to quality and health and safety requirements

The successful applicant will be a graduate or have equivalent experience and will be an expert in the field of food composition with experience of a wide range of analytical techniques
